Returning Student Housing Selection
Housing Week: Room Selection Fall 2026
During the Spring 2026 semester, all full-time students registered for the 2026–2027 academic year—whether residents or commuters—will be able to apply for and choose housing for the upcoming academic year.
Note: Rooms are not automatically reserved. All current residents are required to participate in Housing Week to secure a room for the 2026-2027 academic year.
The Process
Step 1: Application: Complete your application via the "myÃÛÑ¿ÊÓƵ" portal starting February 23, 2026.
- Optional: You can connect with potential roommates or "section mates" during this stage.
Step 2: Approval: The Office of Residence Life will evaluate and approve submitted applications.
Step 3: Registration Time: Approved applicants will receive an individual registration date and time based on:
- Application submission date.
- Number of completed credit hours (this does not include currently enrolled hours).
- Once approved, the student can view their assigned timeslot via their housing application on the application status page.
Step 4: Selection: Log in at your assigned time to choose a space.
- Group leaders may select a space for the entire group.
- Individual students may not select an empty double room alone.
Step 5: Completion: Sign the contract and complete the process.
Step 6: Billing: Room and board charges will be billed on May 5, 2026.

Roommate Groups & "Pulling"
We strongly encourage students to use the Roommate Selection page to form groups.
- Group Benefits: A roommate group allows students with higher seniority to "pull" roommates or section mates with fewer credits (e.g., a Senior pulling a Sophomore) into a suite or room.
- Commuters: This process also allows current commuter students to be assigned a space before the general selection date of April 23rd, provided they are part of a confirmed group with a resident leader.
- Restrictions: An individual cannot place themselves in a double-occupancy room, and groups must match the bed count of the unit (e.g., a group of 4 cannot select a 6-bed suite).
FAQ & Eligibility
Who is qualified?
- Any current resident or full-time student (12 hours for undergrad / 9 hours for grad).
- Must be a rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior for the 2026–2027 year.
- Must be enrolled in the Spring 2026 semester to apply.
What if I am graduating or studying abroad?
- Fall 2026 Graduates: You can participate in the selection process. Residence Life will release you from the Spring 2027 portion of your contract if you are not registered for Spring classes and move out by the end of the Fall term.
- Spring 2027 Study Abroad: The same release policy applies once you are officially accepted into your program.
- Currently Abroad: If you are currently studying abroad and returning for Fall 2026, you are fully eligible to participate in online selection.
Meal Plans
All resident students are required to participate in a meal plan. You will select one of three available plans during the selection process in the StarRez portal. You can adjust your meal plan through the end of the second week of the semester. After that deadline, your selection will remain in place for the rest of the semester. You will have another opportunity to change your meal plan for the second semester.
- Meal Swipes: Do not carry over between semesters.
- Flyer Dollars: Balance carries over from Fall to Spring but expires at the end of the academic year.
- Changes: You may add Flyer Dollars to your account at any time.
Move-In Information
- New First-Year and New Transfer Students: August 19, 2026
- Returning Students: August 21, 2026
- Early Move-In: Only approved for specific student leadership positions or university requirements.
